This little piece brought together three of my favorite things to paint and draw: girls, balloons, and keyholes. I can't believe I've never put these elements together before! I like the mystery of the keyhole and the playfulness of the balloons; together, they make me think this girl is wondering whether to watch the fun pass on by or to jump right into the whimsy. Either way, I like her.
Also, if you've never carved a lino block, you really must. It's so satisfying!
