When painting abstracts, I like to pick a theme or lyric I like and just let that loosely guide the chaos into a cohesive thought. In this case, I used the lyric, "Old Habits Die Screaming" from Taylor Swift's, "Black Dog," and I'm pleased with how the neutral color washes and frenetic black ink work together across these three pieces.
